Yes, it has finally arrived, the Monday we've been waiting for, the Monday that leads to the first College games of the year. Ready for some SEC football, and it begins Thursday night with a double header. The Gamecocks of South Carolina kick it off, then Vandy and Ole Miss play the night cap. And of course, every one in the State of Alabama are waiting on Auburn at Washington State and The Tide against Virginia Tech of Saturday, August 31st. So, we've got to ask....Are you ready for some football ?

Along with the start of the College football season, this week will also bring some more unique weather to our area. Lows in the 60's for a couple of days, WOW, just doesn't seem like a typical August, that's for sure. Of course the entire summer has been different, rain and cooler temperatures all around. Although some are predicting some intense heat at the end of this week, I'll believe it when I see it. Hard to believe we may make it out of summer without several days in upper 90's, or any 100 degree monster days. Oh well, maybe we can maintain what we're getting now for another couple of months or so.

With the big weekend coming up, remember a couple of things. Monday, September 2nd is the Labor Day Holiday, so enjoy some down time with friends and family, and if your planning big game day parties, remember to be safe. And if your having a big party, don't forget to have your HVAC checked out if you've been having any issues with it. Watch the games in a comfortable home.
